My Practice

Hello, I’m Saara, and I offer one-to-one counselling sessions for adults. I am a qualified counsellor registered with BACP.

I offer sessions in person and online.

My background encompasses support and care work in the charity and social work sectors. I have experience in helping individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and various mental health challenges.

I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of East London and have also worked as a Social Work Reflective Practice Practitioner, supporting social workers with self-reflection and wellbeing.

My values include…..

Person - centred

Being person-centred means that we proceed at your pace, building a strong therapeutic relationship and utilising techniques that best suit your goals. I listen deeply without judgment, creating a comfortable space for you to discuss your experiences.

Self empowerment

I believe that you are the expert of your life, and my role is to guide and support you in processing your thoughts and feelings to develop a better understanding of the behaviours and experiences that trouble you. This aims to empower you to make positive changes (if needed), and nurture acceptance, ultimately leading to an improved sense of well-being.

Inclusively

I value inclusivity and have experience working with people from a diverse range of backgrounds. I recognise that we are all unique, with our own identities. I will strive to sensitively understand your culture, beliefs, identities, values, and experiences, among other factors that are relevant to you. This aims to create a safe and inclusive space.
